Employability Conferences & Workshops
Description
The EBP organises and delivers Employability Conferences and Workshops that generally involve a whole year group. The main focus is on raising students’ awareness and understanding of the ‘abilities, attributes and attitudes’ that employers look for in recruiting staff.
Aims, objectives and learning outcomes
The programme raises students’ awareness of Employability Skills and
their relevance to the world of work. There are opportunities in the workshops for students to practice and develop some of these skills :
- abilities: communication skills, initiative, problem solving, willingness to learn, customer focus
- attributes / attitudes: positive attitude, commitment, punctuality, adaptability, determination, accountability, responsibility, pride in achievement
